Investigation into a drive-by shooting last week led to the arrest of a Kalamazoo teen Saturday.

According to MLive.com, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Officers executed a search warrant to a home in the 1200 block of Lakeway Drive Saturday, using information provided to them by the shooting victim.  At the scene, officers found two loaded handguns, along with marijuana.

A 19-year-old Kalamazoo resident was arrested without incident, on charges of assault with intent to murder, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, various weapons charges, and an outstanding warrant.

The teen was tied by shell casings, to the shooting that occurred just after noon Friday in the 1300 block of North Rose Street.  Investigators say that a passing SUV fired shots at the occupant of a parked car before driving off; the extent of the victim’s injuries, if any, is not known.
