A Kalamazoo woman accused of causing a college student’s death while driving drunk has pleaded guilty.

WWMT reports that 22-year-old Morgan Rowley was set to go to trial in November over the incident in May, but has now pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated causing death and leaving the scene of an accident.

Authorities say that Rowley struck 21-year-old Nicholas Heil, a WMU student, as he was jogging along KL Ave. in Oshtemo Township. She then drove away, but arrested shortly after and found to have a blood alcohol level of .21, over twice the legal limit.

It’s unclear if the guilty plea is the result of a plea bargain with prosecutors.
