Kellogg Community College is holding a photography contest to help "showcase Battle Creek's Latino and Latina Community during National Hispanic Heritage Month in September."

KCC's Center for Diversity and Innovation says that the contest is looking for local photographers to capture Latino and Latina subjects in Battle Creek. The top photos will be chosen by a public vote at the Hispanic Heritage Month Kickoff Event on September 16, with the top 10 being displayed at the Battle Creek Community Foundation.

Photos can be entered from now until August 16, either by email to CDI Program Manager Sara Johnson at johnsons@kellogg.edu. To turn in the photos physically, they can be dropped off at the offices of Voces at 520 W. Michigan Ave. in Battle Creek; photos must be 8 by 10 inches.

First place, second place, and third place will win Visa Gift Cards valued at $150, $100, and $50 respectively.

For more information, email johnsons@kellogg.edu.
