The Kellogg Community College Foundation says that there's less than a month left for high school seniors to apply for several scholarships.

KCC says that chief among them is the Gold Key Scholarship, which will award recipients $9,000 spread over two academic years. Applicants "must be 2018 high school graduates entering KCC as full-time freshmen the following fall with a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or higher and an ACT score of 22 or higher or SAT score of 1030 or higher. "

16 people were Gold Key Scholarship recipients back in 2017, the KCC Foundation says.

Applications are due by March 1, and information can be found at kellogg.edu/gold-key; students can also learn more and get the forms they need by going to KCC's North Ave. campus in Battle Creek, or by speaking to their high school counselor.

Other scholarships due soon include the KCC Trustee Scholarship, and general KCC Foundation Scholarships. Applications for these are also due by March 1.
