Three people are facing charges after reports of shots fired in Kalamazoo led to the discovery of a large amount of drugs.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says that they were called to the 1400 block of Jack Pine Way around 1:45am Sunday, after a citizen saw someone shooting a handgun several times in a parking lot, before entering a residence. Police attempted to contact the occupants of the residence, but they weren’t allowed in, so a search warrant was obtained.

Once the KDPS could get inside, they say they found a loaded pistol and ammunition for it, as well as marijuana and marijuana edibles and LSD. Officers believe drug sales were being conducted as well. A 21-year-old resident was arrested on felony weapons charges along with possession with intent to deliver LSD, while a 25-year-old resident is charged with possession with intent to deliver pot; they are both also accused of maintaining a drug house.

A 21-year-old woman, who wasn’t a resident, is facing pot possession charges, and two others could be charged as well.
