Lake effect snow is expected to back off as Thursday goes on, though a measure of snow cover is greeting motorists as they make their way out. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory until noon Thursday. The forecast also calls for a few inches of snow Saturday night.

A Winter Weather Advisory is still posted for the several counties west of Calhoun.

That snow is from a passing system that will just clip Michigan and - yet again - head for the east coast and New England.
