The Calhoun County Land Bank Authority (CCLBA) announced today that Chemical Bank is now offering financing for the CCLBA’s Transform This Home program (TTH). The program creates incentives and benchmarks for purchasing and rehabilitating a property currently owned by the Land Bank. TTH also requires buyers to establish a rehabilitation plan and have the resources to successfully complete the rehab within a year.

“Chemical Bank has been an outstanding partner and we thank them for seeing the value in our Transform This Home program and helping us expand it to reach more buyers and rehabilitate more homes,” said Krista Trout-Edwards, executive director of the Calhoun County Land Bank Authority. “We’re proud of TTH’s numerous success stories and look forward to many more successful rehabs to come.”

Over the past two years, Chemical Bank has donated $17,000 to the Land Bank’s Transform This Home and Transform This Commercial Property programs.

“We pride ourselves on actively investing in communities across Calhoun County, which is why we introduced this flexible financing option to help grow the Land Bank’s Transform This Home program,” said Diane Ramirez, Community Bank President & Retail Sales Manager for Chemical Bank. “We are deeply committed to supporting the Land Bank in its efforts to make this community a better place.”

Financing guidelines for potential buyers include a down payment as low as 3.5 percent, a FICO score of at least 620 and completion of a homebuyer education course.
