WOODHULL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say they've arrested a 21-year-old Lansing-area man in the fatal shooting of an 81-year-old man at his home in Shiawassee County.

So far, authorities aren't releasing the name of the victim and the suspect.

State police say the victim's son found his father's body at the rural home on Friday afternoon. It's in Woodhull Township, about 15 miles northeast of Lansing.

Lieutenant David Kaiser tells the Lansing State Journal that police traced the suspect to a Days Inn in Eaton County's Delta Township and arrested him. Kaiser says police also found the victim's stolen pickup truck.

Authorities say the suspect lives in the unincorporated community of Haslett. It's in Ingham County's Meridian Township, northeast of Lansing.
