Police are now investigating a possible connection between a newborn baby found dead inside a dumpster in Roseville and the missing baby of a Lansing-area woman who is accused of killing her newborn daughter in December 2013.  The baby found Wednesday, a white male estimated to be one to three days old at the time he died, was discovered among recycled waste at the Great Lakes Recycling Center.  Police said the child had no visible signs of trauma and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Meridian Township police and Michigan State Police are trying to determine if there is a connection between the baby and 25-year-old Melissa Mitin's missing baby boy. The Okemos woman told an Ingham County judge this week that she "could not recall" where her missing child, born last month, is.
She has had her bond revoked and is being held at the Ingham County Jail.–MRN
