Not many High School Basketball players get the opportunity to score 1,000 points in their career. For the first time in over a decade, a member of Marshall's boys basketball squad was able to do so.

Senior guard Jacob Brubaker just needed 15 points to eclipse the mark on the road at Homer Monday night. He did so and exceeded it with 29 points, helping the Redhawks rout the Trojans 71-59 for their 11th straight win. Brubaker is averaging 24 points a game and just short of seven rebounds a night. He was able to reach the milestone in the middle of his third year on varsity.

Congratulations to Jacob Brubaker, our latest Lassen Automotive Athlete of the Week.
