The High School Bowling season came to a close last weekend, and for the Olivet Eagles it could be considered a success. In only their second season, one of their bowlers brought home an individual title in Division 3.

After qualifying for State in 10th place and getting in by five pins, junior Daniel Higgins made his first trip to state memorable. He earned a spot in the top-16 bracket by qualifying 12th in six games in the morning session.

Higgins would continue to roll his way through the afternoon with eight more games, concluding with a 404 two-game set in the Final over fellow local bowler, Bailey Neal of Pennfield. Higgins would average an even 200 through 14 games on the day.

Congratulations to Daniel Higgins, our latest Lassen Automotive Athlete of the Week.
