Lies, Olympics and Honesty
Interesting, Ryan Lochte an Olympic swimmer embellished about being held up in Rio and he is promptly fired by four of his sponsors. In a statement one of those companies Speedo stated “we cannot condone behavior that is counter to the values this brand has long stood for”. Democrat Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton lies about classified top national secrets and she is rewarded with millions of votes.
Can any of you please explain this one to me?
Swimsuit company Speedo USA, clothing giant Ralph Lauren, skin-care firm Syneron-Candela and Japanese mattress maker airweave have all cancelled their contracts with Lochte. Because he embellished what happened during a stop at a Rio gas station.
Syneron-Candela a company that sells skin-treatment products in their statement said:
We hold our employees to high standards, and we expect the same of our business partners
So a company that manufacturers bathing suits and another who manufacturers skin products hold their employees to a higher standard than a large portion of the United States hold’s their officials elected to some of the highest position in our government.
That just sound wrong.
Why should a swimmer be held to a higher standard than a potential United States President?
When it comes to our countries morals, ethics and standards we would not even get close to the winning a bronze medal. In fact when the medals would be awarded they would probably not even let us in the building and I would agree with them, would you?
Let’s talk about this today on The Live with Renk Show which airs Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to noon. To let me know your thoughts during the show please call (269) 441-9595.
