Megatron has left the building.   Or for those who aren't big sports fans, future hall of fame receiver Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions has played his last game at Ford Field, or anywhere else.

The 30-year-old Johnson announced his decision Tuesday after nine seasons with the Lions.

Johnson had 88 receptions for 1,214 yards and nine touchdowns last season, even though he battled injuries all season long.  He has 731 career receptions for 11,619 yards and 83 touch downs.

Johnson follows Hall of Famers Barry Sanders and Jim Brown,  who both stepped away from the game at the age of 30, after fewer than 10 seasons in the NFL.
