Lions Draft Tight End Eric Ebron

The Detroit Lions surprised many fans and experts by using their top draft choice to select North Carolina tight end Eric Ebron.

Detroit already has Brandon Pettigrew and Joseph Fauria at the tight end position.  Many thought they might go for another wide-receiver, or defensive player.  The Lions passed on MSU cornerback Darqueze Dennard, defensive tackle Aaron Donald, and top safety in Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.   Some of the needs the Lions may address in the next rounds are at wide-receiver, cornerback, safety and defensive line.
