A dominant defense and speed helped lead the visiting Vermontville Maple Lions to a 58-38 win over the Pennfield Panthers Wednesday night.  The Lions out-shot and out-rebounded the Panthers, holding Pennfield to only five offensive rebounds all evening.  Austin Gonser and Luis Martinez-Fernandez led Vermontville’s scoring with 14 and 10-points respectively. Aaron Brown was the top scorer for Pennfield with 13-points.  Vermontville’s record improves to 7-and-2 on the season, while Pennfield drops to 6-and-4.

In the evening's first game, the J-Vee Panthers put one in the "W" column with a 47-29 win over the J-Vee Lions.
