Man Accused of String of Break-Ins Arraigned

A man accused of several break-ins in the Battle Creek area was arraigned Monday on charges related to them.

Anthony Gates, Jr was arrested last Wednesday following two different home invasions on West Minges.  Gates allegedly broke into the first home and stole at least ten firearms, before moving on to the second home.

It was at that home that an hour-long standoff with police ensued, before Gates was safely arrested.

Gates was arraigned on several home invasion charges, along with obstructing a police officer.
