Man Airlifted Following Early Morning Crash In Marengo Township

A man was flown to the hospital in critical condition this morning after his truck crashed into a tree.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says the 21-year-old man lost control of his truck at around 5:30 a.m. on Michigan Avenue near 21 Mile Road.

The driver was trapped in the wreckage and went in and out of consciousness as crews worked to free him.

Investigators say it looks like fatigue may have been a factor in the crash.
