Man Arrested After Gunfire in Battle Creek

Police in Battle Creek arrested a man early this morning after gunfire on Frisbie Avenue.  Police on patrol in the area heard the shots at around 1:20, and a woman called 9-1-1 to say her ex-boyfriend was outside her house and may have been responsible for the shooting.  The woman gave police a description and the suspect was caught shortly after on Boardman.  The man was arrested on suspicion of Assault with Intent to Commit Murder and was taken to the county jail.  Police say the man had two handguns on him at the time of his arrest.
