Man Brings Bogus Money To Court Hearing

According to the Associated Press,  a man attended his court hearing and carried alleged counterfeit money on him to the trial.

Authorities have found 61 counterfeit $20 bills on the 22-year-old man at Oakland County Circuit Court in Pontiac.

The Oakland Press of Pontiac reports that the man was being searched during an arrest after a court judgment against him when a stack of bills was found. A deputy was taking inventory Tuesday of the man's belongings and noticed some of the $20 bills had a different feel than others.

Upon investigation, the bills were found to be counterfeit, the man was jailed on the original charge and a new investigation is now in progress on the counterfeiting charge.
