Man Found Bleeding In Kalamazoo Sunday Dies At Hospital

Police in Kalamazoo say that a man found bleeding and unresponsive in the street Sunday has now died.

Just before 8am Sunday, Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers found the man lying in the 1200 block of E. Alcott Street with wounds to his head.  The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Gerardo Santiago Martinez of Mexico.  Martinez was taken to the hospital, but passed away due to his injuries Tuesday.

At this time, authorities are still attempting to determine how Martinez suffered his injuries, and an autopsy was performed, with results expected in a few weeks.
