Man Struck By Car In Kalamazoo

Kalamazoo Public Safety responded to a call of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle, around 12:50 AM, Sunday morning.

Officers found the victim lying in the street on East Ransom near Walbridge, with serious head trauma. The preliminary investigation shows that the victim was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a car driven by a 38-year-old Kalamazoo woman.

The man was taken to Bronson Hospital in critical condition, and the woman was lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail for suspicion of Operating While Intoxicated.
