Man Who Pled Guilty In “Gruesome” Child Porn Case Sentenced

An Eaton County man arrested in Battle Creek for showing child porn to people at an adult bookstore has now been sentenced.

28-year-old Benjamin Knight of Eaton Rapids was sentenced in Federal Court Thursday to 17 ½ years in prison for distribution of child pornography.  After the incident at the bookstore, police got a search warrant for his computers and cell phone, finding on them a large amount of graphic child pornography, and claims made by Knight that he had sexually abused children.

Knight had pled guilty to Distribution of Child Pornography and Attempted Distribution of Child Pornography charges in September of 2015.

Knight will also be facing 10 years of supervised release, a $5,000 fine, and entry into the sex offender registry after his jail time is up.
