Marshall Man Killed In Rollover Accident
On Saturday February 16th, 2019 at approximately 9:30 a.m. the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to a single vehicle rollover accident in the 16000 block of Division Drive in Marshall Township. The sole occupant and driver, a 65 year old Marshall, MI man was pronounced dead on scene. The vehicle involved was a 1999 Jeep Cherokee blue in color. According to the sheriff's department, the vehicle appears to have been traveling westbound on Division Drive when it crossed the centerline and left roadway, striking a drainage ditch culvert then rolled over twice before landing on its top. The driver was wearing a seat belt. It is believed that the accident occurred sometime during the night. Further investigation will be conducted by the Calhoun County Accident Reconstruction Team along with the Medical Examiner’s Office in Kalamazoo. No foul play is suspected.
