Rep. Dave Maturen (R-Brady Township), whose district includes a portion of Calhoun County, is back to work while mostly recovered from an auto crash in June 2017.

Maturen, who visited 95.3 WBCK September 18, 2017 for the first time since May, walked with a cane, having progressed from a wheelchair several weeks ago. He was injured in an auto crash on June 9, 2017 while in transit to the Battle Creek Cereal Parade.

Maturen attended one session in Lansing while in a wheelchair, but is now walking and using a cane and is able to drive and return to a regular legislative routine.

One of them is a companion bill in the MIchigan House to O'Brien's Senate bill dedicating a portion of I-94 to fallen Comstock Fire Chief Ed Switalski.
