Max Scherzer: 2nd No-Hitter this season
Former Tiger Max Scherzer finished the season with his second no-hitter this season.
Scherzer, who signed a whopping 7-year, $210 million dollar contract with the Washington Nationals’ now goes home for the winter with the rest of his teammates. Hi finishes the season at 14-12, with a stingy 2.79 earned run average, and was second with 276 strikeouts, 25 behind the Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw.
Scherzer joins Johnny Vander Meer, who pitched two no-hitters in a row, Nolan Ryan, Virgil Trucks, Allie Reynolds and Roy Halliday, whose second no-hitter in 2010 happened in the post season.
