Matt Hall is challenging incumbent Dave Maturen for the Republican nomination in for the 63rd State House Seat in Michigan.   Hall, a constitutional law attorney, recently moved to Emmett Township and was a guest on the 95.3 WBCK Morning Show with Tim Collins.

Hall is a supporter of President Donald Trump, and was his chairman for the campaign for Calhoun County and was his delegate to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.  Hall made the motion there to secure the nomination and stop the "Never Trumpers".

Hall attacked Maturen for abandoning Trump, as well as for his voting record. He said the reason he's running is that Maturen is ranked the second most liberal Republican in Lansing.   Hall says he wants to fight for a conservative platform in Lansing.

Hall also criticized Maturen's vote against the Auto Reform Bill.  Maturen says that bill wasn't in the best interests of the people of the 63rd District, but Hall disagreed and says he would have voted for the bill.

The primary election is August 7, 2018.   The winner will face Democrat Jen Aniano in November.
