While it has been tough to determine which one of the six seniors on Harper Creek's Boys Basketball team really has shined (because they all have), one has really put on his best work against the best teams in the Interstate 8 Conference.

Guard TraVon Johnson has really been the offensive force the Beavers have needed this year, averaging just over 18 points a game and has scored a season-high 32 points twice, including last Friday against Marshall in a 94-73 victory. He also matched a season-high 10 rebounds and had six assists. On the year, Johnson has scored over 20 points nine times and averages 5 assists and 4.7 rebounds a game and will conclude his regular season against St. Joseph Thursday night.

Congratulations to TraVon Johnson of Harper Creek, this week's Meijer Athlete of the Week!

Nominate your student-athlete to become our next next Meijer Athlete of the Week! We announce them Wednesday mornings during the Richard Piet Show. All winners will receive a plaque for their accomplishment, courtesy of Recognition, Inc.
