Meijer Athlete of the Week

Congratulations Ismael Bautista-Trejo, this week's Meijer/WBCK Athlete of the Week!

Ismael is a senior on the Battle Creek Central Bearcats' soccer team, who will be heading into a September 20th All-City Tournament final with Lakeview, after scoring three goals and two assists in an 8-0 shutout of Harper Creek September 6th. Ismael has already scored five goals and helped in five others for the 4-2 Bearcats. BCC won their first district title in Boys Soccer last year, with Bautista-Trejo scoring both goals in a 2-1 victory over Coldwater. He was also named received All-District, All-Region and 3rd-team All-State last season, scoring 10 goals and eight assists. Bautista-Trejo is also the kicker for the Bearcats' varsity football squad.
