MI Teacher evaluation requirements, is it time for a change already?

Is Michigan's long awaited teacher evaluation system already being eased before they even go into effect.

Mlive.com is reporting (http://www.mlive.com/education/index.ssf/2014/01/michigan_teacher_evaluation_re.html) that Michigan lawmakers in a bipartisan effort are considering changing how the grades are determined.

"House Bill 5223 will requires that beginning with the next school year and continuing through the 2016-2017, 25 percent of a teacher's score will be based on student growth and tests. That delays by two school years the requirement that half the score be based on test scores."

Are you concerned that they are already changing the grading system or do you believe this is an improvement?
