Environmental groups are taking issue with a recent agreement between the state of Michigan and Canadian pipeline company, Enbridge, Inc. The Associated Press reports, that agreement sets a timeline for determining the future of twin pipelines beneath the waterway where Lakes Huron and Michigan converge. On Monday, activists said the only foolproof way to safeguard the lakes is to decommission the Enbridge’s Line 5, entirely.
