A new drug is likely on the way to pharmacists across Michigan. According to the Associated Press, a bill for a drug, which reverses the effects of an overdose, is on its way to Governor Snyder’s desk. The state House unanimously approved the bill on Tuesday, which would allow pharmacists to dispense the drug without a prescription. Bill sponsor, Republican Anthony Forlini says the measure would help stem the rising number of deaths from opioid overdose, by putting the antidote in the hands of more people.
