The state of Michigan is looking to help home buyers and clean up neighborhoods with abandoned homes. Michigan’s getting 74.5 million to help cities eliminate blight and provide mortgage and property tax assistance. Governor Rick Snyder says the funding, from the US Department of Treasury has been critical in helping homeowners both stay in their home and avoid foreclosures, while helping cities eliminate blight.
