As predicted, a swath of wintry precipitation began crossing southwest Michigan early Thursday morning, leaving a glaze on at least some untreated surfaces.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory Wednesday, which remained in effect Thursday morning. It is set to expire at 4pm Thursday. The NWS forecast for Battle Creek suggests a wintry mix off an on Thursday morning will change to snow during the day with little accumulation. Then, the forecast calls for a return to mixed precipitation Thursday evening.
