MOD Pizza Sets Kalamazoo Location

After hearing rumors of MOD Pizza entering the Kalamazoo market, we now know it's happening. The pizza chain announced today MOD Pizza will be opening on Century Ave off Drake in Oshtemo.

Franchisee TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR) operates 11 MOD Pizza locations in the metro Detroit area. The Kalamazoo location will be the first in Michigan outside of the Detroit region.

The Kalamazoo MOD Pizza will be at 5097 Century Avenue, near Trader Joe's and Costco in the quickly growing Corner @ Drake complex.

The company said in a press release,

“At MOD Pizza, we aim to build a platform that will bring a positive impact to as many lives as possible in the communities we serve,” said Jake Schostak, TSFR MOD Pizza Brand Leader. “We make pizzas so we can serve people, and we are excited to grow our presence in Michigan to the west side of the state. We look forward to serving the Kalamazoo community and continuing to Spread MODness, while also providing affordable, high-quality pizza to Kalamazoo residents.”

 

MOD Pizza uses fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces, including MOD red sauce and MOD white sauce. Guests can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of 30 featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Each pizza is hand-cooked in an 800-degree oven in just minutes, and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. MOD Pizza also serves local draft beers, wine, handspun milkshakes and house-made lemonades and iced teas.

MOD Pizza is looking to hire 30 employees for the store and is accepting applications here.
