The Battle Creek Fire Department is looking into a fire that started at a home early Monday morning.

The City of Battle Creek says that firefighters were called around 1am Monday to a home in the 100 block of W. Fountain St, to find a small fire blazing on the exterior wall of a home. The fire was extinguished quickly, and crews dispersed smoke from the scene.

This is the second fire at that location is as many months; the BCFD says that a fire of a similar suspicious nature took place at the home on September 15.

The Battle Creek Fire Marshal is investigating the blaze, and is being considered suspicious.
