A Kalamazoo woman will be looking at jail time in connection to a fatal hit-and-run crash.

Lawyers for Morgan Rowley had attempted to withdraw her guilty plea earlier this month, but MLive reports that that attempt was denied Wednesday, and Rowley was sentenced for 10 to 20 years in prison for operating with a high Blood Alcohol Content causing death. She also was sentenced to 8 to 15 years for leaving the scene of a deadly accident, a sentence which will be served concurrently.

Prosecutors said that Rowley struck 21-year-old Nicholas Heil as he was jogging along KL Ave in May in Oshtemo Township. A test a few hours after the crash showed her BAC at around .21, more than twice the legal limit.
