A warning has been issued to area rock aficionados, Ted Nugent, the Motor City Madman, will blaze into Battle Creek for a concert at FireKeepers Casino Hotel on Friday, August 18th. This will give rockers the whole weekend to recover from Nugent exposure.

Ted is marking his 50+ years of performing high energy rock by touring America, this summer, with his Rockin’ America Again Tour. He will be backed by Greg Smith on bass and Jason Hartless on drums, putting out what he describes as “high energy, firebreathing Motorcity KrankRock.”

Michigan native, Theodore Anthony Nugent, began his rockin’ career, at the age of 17 years-old in 1965, as the lead guitar player for the Amboy Dukes. Their hit, Journey to the Center of the Mind, still travels the airwaves as a classic hit. His haunting lead on that song was one of the early appearances of using feedback that became signature in psychedelic rock.

Tickets for the show will go on sale at 10 AM Saturday, May 20th. Prices start at $49.
