Natural Gas Leak Shuts Down Capital SW

A portion of Capital Avenue Southwest remains closed this afternoon after a natural gas leak. Authorities responded to area of Capital near Washington and Goguac just after Noon today, where a construction crew struck the natural gas line with an auger. The line is located near Tennyson Street. Semco Energy was able to cap the line around 1:30pm. Residents and businesses have not been asked to evacuate at this time, but people have been asked to stay indoors in the area. So far, no injuries have been reported.
