Good news for summer readers in central Michigan. The Associated Press reports that Hemlock, Michigan, around 14 miles west of Saginaw will be getting a new $2.8 million library thanks in large part to an unexpected donation from a couple’s estate. According to library directory BillieJo Bluemer at Raucholz Memorial Library, James and Mary Jean Foye have left the library 40 percent of their estate, at just over $923,000. Bluemer says a finishing touch of the new facility will be a tribute to Foyes.
