No Injuries From Battle Creek Fire on Christmas
Battle Creek fire investigators continue to look for a possible cause of a fire Christmas morning.
Firefighters responded to the 300 block of North McKinley around 6am, where smoke from the basement alerted the residents inside. The fire was contained to the basement, causing 15-thousand dollars in damage. There was just minimal damage to the house's structure.
The residents inside were able to make it out safely without injury. One family pet was unable to be saved.
The fire department also stated that there were no work smoke alarms inside the home.
