Oaklawn In Marshall Joins Other Hospitals Restricting Visitors After Flu Outbreak
Oaklawn Hospital has joined the growing list of Hospitals that are restricting visitation due to the latest flu outbreak.
On their website, they posted these new visitation guidelines.
Do not visit patients in the hospital if you have fever, cough, sore throat or any other flu-like symptoms.
Please postpone your visit until you have been symptom-free for 24 hours
Do not bring children under 16 to visit patients- (Children/siblings of any age will not be permitted visitation in the Birth Center).
No more than two visitors per patient
Cover your sneezes and coughs and wash your hands often
Visibly ill visitors in the birth center will be asked to leave
Note: Oaklawn encourages frequent hand hygiene and covering your cough to minimize potential transmission. For your convenience, there are stations with masks, tissue and hand sanitizer throughout the hospital.
Special visitation restrictions for Birth Center:
Visitation is restricted to significant other and health grandparents only
Children/siblings visitation is not permitted at this time
