Official Fiscal Emergency

(AP) A state-appointed review team has determined that Wayne County is in a financial emergency. The state Treasury office says Gov. Rick Snyder now has 10 days to consider the team's report and determine what to do about the county's fiscal condition.

State oversight is a possibility. Wayne County faces a projected $171 million deficit by 2019 if remedial measures aren't taken.
