After taking December off, Old Man Winter returned to southwest Michigan Sunday, leaving roadways Monday morning with some snow cover. Slushy mixed precipitation changed to all snow Sunday as the temperatures dropped.

After the initial weekend storm, westerly winds kicked up lake effect snow, which promises to continue for several days this week. The National Weather Service forecast also includes word of a Wind Chill Advisory for Calhoun County until noon Tuesday.
