One Dead, Two Injured After Chase Leads To Crash In Allegan County

One person is dead and two others are badly injured after a man fleeing from police apparently caused a rollover crash.  The incident happened early Saturday morning around 2 A.M. in Allegan County, with a Gun Lake Tribal Officer reporting almost being sideswiped by a speeding vehicle.

Allegan County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to pull over the vehicle along 135^th Ave near US-131, but it sped off.  While continuing pursuit, dispatchers received a call from someone saying their car had rolled over after being struck by another vehicle.  When located just off 135th Ave, one person was found dead, thrown from the car, while the other two passengers were taken to the hospital in serious and critical condition.

The suspect vehicle was found rolled over as well, a short distance away from the other car.

The suspect was determined to be intoxicated, and was taken to the Allegan County Jail pending arraignment.
