The temperature reading outside the WBCK studios this morning read -8 in my car at about 4:30am. The official WBCK temperature reading was -15 at the same time, and various reporting stations around the region were checking in with even colder temperatures. At 10pm, a temperature reading outside the WBCK studios of -10 broke the record low set on February 19, 1903. The February 20 record low of -19 hasn't officially been broken yet.

The National Weather Service forecast for Battle Creek suggests a warm up to around 30 degrees for Saturday, but another arctic blast will dominate much of the coming week.
