Painkiller Task Force

According to the Michigan State Medical Society, a newly assembled statewide task force will spend their summer looking at ways to curb prescription drug abuse.

The group is made up of over 20 people and includes police chiefs, sheriffs a judge and state lawmakers.

They'll specifically be looking at the abuse of prescription painkillers. The task force will present its recommendations this fall.
