The Battle Creek City Commission will return to chambers Tuesday night for the first of two meetings in September.

The minutes will feature highly discussed resolutions on panhandling in the city, which had public forums in July and refining the measure to put into the ordinance to be voted on Tuesday. The two ordinances will be part of a long set of resolutions at City Hall.

Other resolutions on the docket include the approval of a bid for painting at C.O. Brown Stadium, sound improvements inside the Kellogg Arena, the issuance of tax-exempt refundable bonds for Bronson Healthcare for obtaining capital assets for Lifespan, Inc., vacating a portion of Division Street near Fountain Street, and rezoning the former Southwestern Junior High School into residences.

The meeting begins at 7pm Tuesday night.
