As the 2013-2014 regular basketball season starts to wind down, the Pennfield Panthers looked to snap a four-game losing streak when the Constantine Falcons came to town Tuesday night.  They did exactly that.

The Panthers came out fast, putting up 11 unanswered points on the scoreboard before the Falcons found the basket.  Pennfield led 27-13 at the end of the first period and continued to dominate the game taking a 48-29 lead into the locker room at the half.  Scoring was even in the third period with both the Panthers and Falcons scoring 19-points.  The scoreboard showed Pennfield with a 67-48 lead going into the fourth period as they cruised to a 81-57 victory over the winless Falcons.

There were 16 3-point shots during the game, 12 by Pennfield and four by Constantine. Cody Ley led the Falcons’ scoring with 21-points and 17-rebounds followed by Luke Mullendore’s 10-points and nine-points from Joey Steiner.  For the Panthers, Jake Grimes delivered 20-points, including four three’s, Branden Rugg nailed 16-points, including three three’s, Aaron Brown delivered 14-points followed by Ryan Lowe’s 11 points and 10-rebounds.

With the win, Pennfield improves to 9-and-8 on the season, while Constantine falls to 0-and-15.

This was the Panthers' final home game in the KVA.  Pennfield joins Harper Creek in the new “Interstate Eight Conference” beginning with the 2014-15 school year.
