Pearl Harbor Victim Laid to Rest In Port Huron
A Michigan sailor who was killed during the attack on Pearl Harbor has been laid to rest in Port Huron. Mlive reports that more than 300 people attended Saturday funeral services for Fred M. Jones, as he was buried, with military honors, in his family’s cemetery plot. The U.S. Navy recently identified Jones’ remains. Thirty year old Jones was aboard the USS Oklahoma during the attack on December 7, 1941.
