A Pennfield High School student was arrested Wednesday on charges of making social media threats on Twitter, threatening to commit acts of violence at the Pennfield High School.

The school had received a tip at 2:40 Wednesday afternoon about the threats. A school resource deputy was on-site and made immediate contact with the student. As a result of the investigation a 14 year old male Pennfield High School student was arrested and lodged at the Calhoun County Juvenile Home.

The student did not have any access to weapons at the time and was apprehended within minutes of the social media postings being discovered.

According to authorities, no students at the Pennfield schools were in any danger at the time of this incident.
